The Inherited Lattice

Everything the working system stepped away from is kept here, whole and credited. The functional page exists because of this material, not despite it — and precisely for that reason, the two must never share a room.

§1 — Two Pages, One Distinction

This page and its counterpart

The Adaptor House dual derivation is documented across two sites that mirror the model they describe. The functional page is the working system: dark ground, marks of light, no inherited meaning anywhere in its reasoning chain. This page is its counterpart: light ground, holding the full inheritance — sources, concordance, and the strongest objections the tradition can raise. Each is legible only against the other. Neither is the original.

§2 — Documented Lineage

Where the lattice comes from

The functional system is a re-founding, not an invention. Its construction has a checkable pedigree spanning nine centuries and three continents. What Adaptor House kept was the derivation; what it declined to inherit was the semantic layer. Both halves of that decision are documented here.

§3 — The Concordance

Glyph, address, inheritance

This table is the only place in the Adaptor House ecosystem where addresses and classical associations appear side by side. On the functional page the glyphs are house render marks and nothing more; here, their full inheritance is recorded for scholars, translators, and anyone auditing what was set aside. This is an archive, not an active binding: no Adaptor House system reasons from the right-hand columns.

Reading rule: left of the glyph column is live Adaptor House vocabulary; right of it is archive. A system found reasoning from the right-hand columns is, by house definition, malformed — the same class of error as invalid syntax.

§4 — The Classical Objections

The tradition gets its full say

The functional page keeps only the structural objections to the model. The objections below are raised from within the inheritance — and because they invoke it, they live here, argued in their strongest form.

OBJECTION — The Classicist

Position

Two and a half millennia of correspondence — seasons, directions, family, body, weather — are not noise. They are compressed observation. Stripping ☴ of "Wind" doesn't purify the symbol; it throws away the dataset and keeps the wrapper.

House Reply

Nothing is thrown away — this page is the proof. The corpus remains intact, credited, and one click from the working system. What the house declines is not the tradition but the bundling: when "Wind" arrives welded to an address, no downstream system can tell which conclusions came from structure and which from folklore. Separation is hygiene, not disrespect. The archive is honored precisely by being kept whole, somewhere the machinery never reads.

OBJECTION — Vacuum is not Yin

Position

Classical yin is not absence — it is receptive force: the valley that shapes the river, the dark that gives light a place to land. Recasting yin as "vacuum / non-force" doesn't decouple an association; it replaces one metaphysics with another and calls it a correction.

House Reply

Conceded in part, and then answered at the root. AH-0 is not a translation of yin; it is a different primitive. But the deeper resolution — now adopted into the functional model itself — is that neither face is the primitive. The foundation is the relation between there and not-there: the distinction, whose two faces co-arise. On that reading the objection dissolves rather than loses, because "receptive force" and "absence" are both descriptions of one face of a relation that precedes them. Whether that resolution holds is a question for the formal treatment; the objector keeps standing if it doesn't.
